Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Check Writer 123. Please read them before you use the service.
Last updated October 4, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Check Writer 123 (the “service”), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you use the service for a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
Check Writer 123 lets you enter bank and payment details and print checks from your browser on blank check stock, pre-printed check stock or plain paper, using your own printer. We do not mail checks, move money, or act as a bank or payment processor. A check you print is an instrument drawn on your own bank account; your bank decides whether to honor it.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
- Tell us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission.
4. Free trial
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card needed. We limit the free trial to one per person, and may refuse or end a trial when we detect repeated trials from the same device or network. Plan limits apply during the trial. If you add a card during the trial, your first charge happens on the day the trial ends, and you can cancel before then. If you don't add a card, nothing is charged and access ends when the trial ends; your information is kept so you can subscribe later.
5. Plans, limits and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars through Square and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
- Each plan includes a number of checks per calendar month and a number of bank accounts. The plan limits and prices are shown on our pricing page.
- A check counts toward your monthly limit when you print it with the Print button (this is when it is saved). A voided check you print also counts. Printing a saved check again from your register and Test Prints do not count. Deleting a check does not give its count back, and limits reset at the start of each calendar month.
- You can change plans in Settings. An upgrade gives you the higher limits right away and the new price starts at your next billing date. A downgrade takes effect at your next billing date.
- We may change prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice, and the change takes effect at your next renewal after that.
- You authorize us (through Square) to charge your card for your plan until you cancel. If a payment fails we may suspend access until it is resolved.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and you will not be charged again. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7. Your responsibilities when printing checks
- You may only print checks on bank accounts you own or are authorized to use, and for payments you are authorized to make.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the routing number, account number, payee, amount and every other detail on a check. Double-check them before you print.
- Printing quality depends on your printer, paper and settings. Use Test Print and the alignment tools, and test on plain paper first. We do not guarantee that a bank, payee or other institution will accept a check, including checks printed on plain paper.
- Keep your blank check stock, printed checks and bank details secure. Checks are valuable documents and can be misused if lost or stolen.
- You are responsible for following the laws and bank rules that apply to the checks you issue.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for fraud, to print counterfeit or altered checks, or to write checks on an account you aren't authorized to use;
- remove, hide or work around the VOIDED or TEST PRINT marks on voided checks and test prints, or present them as real checks;
- get around plan limits, free-trial limits or any other restriction, including by creating accounts to take repeated trials;
- attempt to break, probe, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except as the law allows;
- use the service in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
We may suspend or end accounts that break these rules.
9. Your content and data
You own the information you put into the service, including your bank details, logos, signatures and check records (“your content”). You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You promise you have the right to provide it. We own the service itself, including its software, design and branding.
10. Third-party services
The service relies on providers such as Square (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email), Google (sign-in and analytics) and an AI provider (the support assistant). Their own terms apply to their services. The support assistant can make mistakes, so please check anything important, and don't treat its answers as legal, tax or financial advice.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that checks will print exactly as expected on your equipment or be accepted by any bank.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Check Writer 123 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, bounced or rejected checks, bank fees, or misprinted checks. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and reimburse us for claims, losses and costs that come from your misuse of the service, the checks you print, or your breach of these terms.
14. Suspension and ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your account is used for fraud or abuse, if payment fails, or if we must by law. We will give notice where we reasonably can. When your account ends, the privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
16. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. These terms are governed by applicable United States law.
