How to Print a Check With Your Company Logo

Adding your logo to a check is purely cosmetic — banks don't require it — but it makes a check look more professional and harder to casually forge, since a generic blank check is easier to imitate than one with distinctive branding.

Image requirements

  • Use a PNG with a transparent background if your check software supports it, so the logo doesn't sit on an awkward white box.
  • Keep resolution reasonably high (at least 300 DPI at the size it'll print) — a logo that looks fine on screen can print blurry at small sizes.
  • Simple, high-contrast logos reproduce better on inkjet printers than logos with fine detail or subtle gradients.

Where it typically goes

Most check layouts place the logo in the top left or top center, near your business name and address, and keep it clear of the MICR line at the bottom and the amount boxes in the middle so it doesn't interfere with bank processing.

In Check Writer 123, you upload your logo once per bank account and it's applied to every check you print from that account automatically.
